This is my motherboard

Super Micro
C7H270-CG-ML

I am planning to get Kingston A2000 which I believe my motherboard is compatible with. Thing is, I want to clone it and I only want to clone just the C drive. Problem is that my Hard drive has both C and D drive and when I'm using AMOEI Backupper, It shows both C and D drive.

Is there a way to just clone only the C Drive? And from this motherboard, how can I make it boot from the M.2 instead of the Harddrive as the options seem confusing.

Solution
Check BIOS for fast boot option. Make sure, it is disabled.

BTW - how long did you wait on "black screen", when booted from cloned drive?

If nothing works, then redo cloning.
Ok maybe I was not getting the thing right. So by clean target drive, did you mean removing the volumes J and K from the disk management and then redo the same thing again but without removing unallocated space? And does that mean that C drive's unallocated space also has to be merged back? @SkyNetRising

I'm asking because I want to be certain that this is what you meant and I've been waiting for response for a while.

Ok one last question for this @SkyNetRising

I just bought the ssd and ok I cloned it successfully. But is it a good idea to remove the old partition now?

I ask because if for some reason the ssd either fails or explodes for some reason, Would windows be able to detect the windows drive from the hdd and boot that if the boot order is changed?

You can keep old windows partition for backup purposes. That's perfectly fine. Just remove drive letter from it ( E: ) and it will be hidden until you need it.
It all depends on, what you want to do.
