Registry settings for usb printing

Hello, i have a xp pro system that will not detect printers attached to a usb port. No usb ports show up in printers and faxes. etc. I believe its a registry issue, installed sp3 but no help there. Anybody got any clues?

Could be a bad USB port (try something else USB).
Could be that drivers are needed. Do you get any errors or messages when something is connected?
Could be that XP has had too many USB devices connected to it. Visit this link and follow the instructions for removing non-existent devices then reboot.

You can use a Registry fixing tool in trying to fix the issue...
