Is there any reason why you couldn't use the regular Asus P5WD2 (non-premium) to over clock the Intel 805 D?
thx
thx
Better check on the ASUS website if the P5WLD2 model you are refferring to supports 533 FSB processor, which the 805 Smith is. Some boards support Pentium D with the exception of the Pentium D 805 which was released late in the series. The 805 D Smith is the only Pentium D with a 533 FSB. All the othes have 800/1026 I believe. You have the Intel 955 chipset on there, so if you can get the CPU to run you should be able to get some pretty fair OCing with that setup.

i had that chip in my p5wd2,i have 0501 bios tho'.
i got mine to 3.6 with stock power,3.8 with 1.4v and 4ghz to the bios with 1.475.i reckon it will do win with the vcore at 1.5v+.i didnt have the nuts to try it tho'.
it will run very hot and eat lots of juice at 4ghz tho'.you'll also need good cooling pref water.
i've switched to a pentium d 930(@4050mhz/1.31v) coz i could'nt get the best out of my pc7200/ddr2 900 patriot ram.
