My computer is stuck constantly trying to repair itself.

I tried starting windows normally and in safe mode, but the computer's window loading bar just keeps moving and moving without progress.

Can I reinstall windows without deleting the files if I have the windows disk?

Thanks

What windows is it? XP, vista, 7?
I don't think you will be lucky enough to avoid having to erase files (format the disc), but you could make a back-up of your system if you or a friend have a working PC. In that case, you would just plug in your disc as a secondary disc, while booting from the other PC's main disc, and you can make a back up there.
(It also works if you plug in another hard drive onto your PC with an OS installed, or make a Linux Live USB and boot from there)
From my own experience, you have to be really lucky for Windows repairs to fix the problem, but I hope that works for you =)

The windows repair is working itself out right now, but it will take "over an hour to complete"...lol.

@anbello262 So If I plug the harddrive into my 2nd computer, I can have access to the files?

Thanks guys
