I just got back from a LAN party and now my internet doesnt work. I have a wireless adapter and it shows the connection as 100% in quality so i know the network can see me. I am assuming that the proglem lies in that my IP has changed and not changed back to what it was. I dont have the slighest idea how to release/renew the IP in XP. Anyone know how to do this? Any help would be much appreciated.

when in cmd just at "C:>" i tried typing in ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew, ipconfig /release *Con*, ipconfig /renew *EL, and all of them skip a line and then say "Windows IP Configuration" skip a line then put me at my next command line. The only thing that produces diffrent results is "ipconfig [all]" and that just comes up with the commands i just mentioned in addion to a bunch of other stuff.

If you're running a cable or DSL modem you need to shut down the computer, pull the power on the modem for about 2 min, and then plug it back in, after all the lights come back up on the modem, power the computer back up.
