Hi there:

Can RD be used as a user support tool?
Here's the scenario: I am looking for a tool that can be used as a
user support tool for my helpdesk. RD offers the ability to remotely
control another PC, but it seems that only one user can be logged in
at a time.

Can it be used to 'shadow' a user to see what steps a user had taken
to arrive at a particular error?

Can RD be user in the following scenario. User calls the helpdesk to
report an error he has received. I connect to a remote PC and with the
user is still logged in locally, the user re-creates the error, while
I view the steps/process/application used that generated the error
condition.

Can you let me know.

Thanks

You need to look at Remote Assistance which was created for just this purpose...

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/remoteassist/intro.mspx

Note that both the Expert (you) and the Novice must be running XP (Pro or Home)...
