Hi,
Is there any way (some registry tweak or a free utility) through which I can hide a program's icon from appearing in system tray area?
The built-in option in Windows to customize notification icons just puts the icon in the upward arrow menu and therefore, the tray icon can still be seen. It doesn't actually remove the icon.
To be more specific, it's the Google drive icon want to hide. I want the program to be running in background, backing up my files but don't want its icon to appear in system tray.

Click the Tray button, select Google Drive then right click and choose Hide icon.

Thanks for the reply.
But I already gave it a shot. It doesn't show any application icons under the tray tab. Only shows the system icons such as Wi-Fi, Volume and Battery.
