[SOLVED] Remove plastic peel from MoBo heatsink from empty m.2 slots?

Seems to be differing opinions on this. Mobo is Asus Rog Strix X670E-E gaming.

I have 3 m.2 slots I wont be using so wonder if I need to remove the peel prior to use.
