Hello every one.
I am building a rendering/simulating system.(~6000 USA Dollars)
Is it better to choose two GTX 960 Turbo OC-4GB by SLI or take one 980/970 ti.

What about Asus R9 390 DC2 8GB 512bit
and R9 390 DC3OC 8GB 512bit

Which one works better with my config?

Asus z10PE-D16
Intel E5 2650 v3 (x2)
32GB Corsair Dominator 3000MHz DR4 Ram
256GB M.2 SSD Drive (OS)
1TB- WD Black (128MB cache)
CoolerMaster/Antech 1200Watt platinium PSU

Thanks in advance.Any help will be appreciated.

Where is the 6000$ at ? That build isn't close to that.

And rendering what? Going with NVidia or AMD will depend on what the software you are using can take advantage of.

You'd probably want more RAM than that, more HD space. Uncompressed 1080 or 4k video can eat up HD space like nothing. Most pro rendering is down with workstation cards like Quadro's rather than "gaming" cards.

For such applications you'd want more GPU power rather than CPU. As for what GPU to get, I believe 3DSMax benefits from CUDA (don't quote me on that one though). As for professional vs "consumer" cards, there's the issue of pricing. For example, yes, the Quadro M6000 has immensely better performance in 3DSMax than the Titan X, but it costs 3 times as much, and that performance difference is not mirrored everywhere, so if you don't mind the extra power consumption and heat then you might be better off getting 3 Titan Xs instead.
