Repair Technician Applications

I have been doing a lot of research on paid apps I might like to use with my computer repair business and I have noticed a lot of them overlap in features (example Active Boot Disk and R-Drive Image)

Now to the question, which applications to do you use (paid or free) and why and of those, which would you say is the most important to you and why.

Here is what I found during some research and what they are used for

PartedMagic (partitioning)
Active Boot Disk (passwords)
R-Drive Image (backup and recovery)
Ubuntu (file operations)
Hirens BootCD
Ultimate BootCD

However, like I said before many of them overlap. Now I do not mind this for free applications but for paid ones (especially R-Drive Image as its very expensive) I would rather not overlap if it is not necessary to do so. I do understand that not all functions work on all computers and having multiple varitions is good and all but R-Drive Image is pretty specific application that Active Boot Disk can do too for a fraction of the cost. R-Drive is looking like ~300$ for a business license and Active is more like 120$ (with many more functions)
