Repair vgaoem fon file in caddy

Hello,
I have a common XP problem in that my vgaoem.fon is missing or corrupt. I have taken out the HDD and have it in a caddy. I can see a vgaoem.fo_ file, but not .fon. How can I repair this please? I don't have a back up disk / boot CD.

if you can copy the file from a friend's computer I'm sure it won't be much too different.
