A friend came to me asking if I could repair her flash drive that was plugged in her laptop that she dropped. It bent the drive at the plug and I figured the connector of came off the board. After opening it up that turned out to be the case. I reattempted to solder it back to the board, but had no luck. The pins just weren't connecting cleanly back to the board. I then realized that the little metal pads were missing. Is there a good way to hot-wire the connection to recover the data? Anybody have any clue where to go from here?
