I am working on an HP pavillion 21 all-in-one pc. it was brought to me because of a BSoD stating the Boot file was corrupted or missing. after an attempt to repair the boot file failed i formated the pc and did a clean install of windows 10. At this point i am thinking corrupted hard drive is the cause of the problem but i want to be certain before moving forward. are there any other issues that might cause this problem to re-occur?

I have not checked the disk yet, did not think i need to prior to the install because my customer claimed it was the first time he had any issues. If he brings it back to me (and i believe he will because he openly stated he had 0 doubt that a re-install was the best choice with the info we had at the time). If it comes down to a bad drive im going to get him in a decent HDD cheaply, any real cost to replacing/upgrading will push him to a new pc all together, so its a last option. just wondering what other possible issues could cause this to happen on a clean install besides a bad drive.
