I'm thinking of buying the scythe mugen 5 pcgh edition cpu air cooler and replacing the kazeflex fans with corsair ML120 rgb pwm fans. Will it work if I just plug the two fan cables into the two cpu fan headers (CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT) in the motherboard? The motherboard is the gigabyte aorus z390 pro
Also, on a sidenote, am I correct in assuming that this configuration will be adequate cooling for an i7-8700k running at 4.7GHz overclock? I'm saying that because the ml120 fans have almost double the rpm and static pressure ratings than the kazeflex fans which the mugen 5 originally comes with.
Thank you
