My CPU fan in my Acer Predator P03-600UR (LGA 775) stopped running so I purchased a new one from StarTech (95mm).

It comes without any instructions and there are no instructions on their website either. It seems to me that they're some sort of pushpin installation but they're terrifying to me. Too much pressure and I could damage my MoBo. Since it's a replacement, I have to do all of this in a small space and those pins just wiggle all over the place...so I'm not sure I'm even getting them lined up.

Additionally, one of the videos I watched that had a pushpin cooler (not Startech) looked to me like the motherboard just had holes where the pins would go. Mine obviously have small metal bits that the previous CPU fan would screw into, and it sure seems like those plastic pins will never fit.

So, is this even something I can use? I bought my PC in '19 so there's a lot of stuff that's limited in the choices I have, plus Acer put in some odd sizes and stuff, too.

Thx in advance.

It's not a pushpin design, they're a spring loaded set of screws on 4 corners;

you need to use a screwdriver to drive the screws into the board/backplate which should also be tethered to the case.

Are you sure you got the SKU right? You might want to host your images on a site like Imgur and then pass on links for us to take a look.
