So I purchased a second hand rtx 2060 8gb, and as per the technician the board of the gpu got toast or something.
Should i just buy a new one or is it still worth repairing?

Unless it is just a fan replacement, GPUs are rarely worth "repair".

If it were possible, the original owner would have done it.
You just bought his e-waste.
