Hi, as the question indicates, i'm replacing my current WD Green 240GB SATA SSD with a new NVME M.2 500 gb (or 512) (i wanna put the SSD in my brother's pc and get a new NVME m.2 and put it in mine), i googled and found KingMax PQ3480 for 25$ which i can get from an online shop of a store located in my city, i also found PNY CS2230,GigaByte 2500E and also Lexar NM620 for the same price, then i saw that the PQ3480 has SLC technology (others were TLC) and as i heard it's better than TLC and QLC (idk i just heard that), the usage will be: Main Storage on my current build to install OS and maybe use the rest of it (380GB) for installing games and play games and maybe in future some video editing... light video editing lol

currnet build:
mb: Asus B450M-A
cpu: Ryzen 3400g
storage: 500GB WD HDD + 250 GB WD SSD (SSD will be sent to the lil brother)

2 questions:

1. does it worth to change the SSD to M.2 NVME in real life? or the performance is not really going to be felt? (forget the space different, im talking about the performance gain in game loadings or windows startup)

2. is the KingMax PQ3480 the best option for price below 29$? is there any other options i should look at? someone told me Lexar NM620 which i mentioned above, is better than kingmax, idk...

thanks

This motherboard?

To your question:
1. Probably. The WD Green SATA SSD is one of the worst/slowest solid state drives frm a major manucafiurer

2. "KingMax" - No. 3rd rate drive.
What is your actual budget? Something beyond $29.

This motherboard?
yes
actually i do not transfer data at all, i only install os and play games, and maybeeee in the future some light video editing using Adobe premier

What is your actual budget?
maximum 30$
i wanted to get wd blue 500 gb m.2 or samsung m.2 but those were more than 30$... currently i don't have much money

If NVME doesn't gain me real life performance , i guess i might get better SATA SSDs under 30$ than NVMEs under 30$, right? or i should only think about NVME?

Given a $30USD budget, your NVMe choices are severely limited.

Crucial P3 500GB. $38

Silicon Power, 512GB. $32.

both are under 30$ here, thanks

but i have the following question unanswered 👇

Don't know what is available in your preferred seller, but...

Crucial MX500
Samsung 860 EVO
SanDisk whatever...
none are available here... evo 870 is available but that's expensive

do you have any idea about any of these:
Adata SU650
Lexar NQ100
MSI Spatium S270
Kioxia Exceria
KingMax SIV32 or SMV32
SiliconPower S55 or A58
Apacer Panther AS340
PNY CS900

these are all SSD SATA 480-512GB and almost same price available in my country
