Hello, my XFX TS 550w has died, so I'm looking for a replacement.

My current build runs an Intel Core I5-4440 and a GTX 1060 3 GB. I don't overclock or have a very demanding needs.

I guess 500w - 550w is enough, but I don't know if going with an extra headroom, like 600w - 650w, for safety and futureproof. Modular or semi-modula would be nice, but not necessary.

Also I have read that the upcomings cards will need a 12+4 pin connector, should I care for low and mid range models?

I'm in Spain, so availability is not great. I would like to keep budget below 100 € / $.

Thank you!

This is the PcPartPicker list of 80+ Gold PSUs with a PCIe 12+4-Pin 12VHPWR connector (useful for nvidia GPUs): https://es.pcpartpicker.com/products/power-supply/#J=1,3&sort=price&e=4

Your most future proof and probably best overall choice would be the 140 € SeaSonic Focus GX-750: https://es.pcpartpicker.com/product...ly-modular-atx-power-supply-atx3-focus-gx-750

If you don't care about the 12VHPWR connector, you have more choices:

The SeaSonic G12 GC 650 is cheap and reliable: https://es.pcpartpicker.com/product...80-gold-certified-atx-power-supply-g12-gc-650
It isn't very quiet, but it will keep your old PC going. You could power up to a RTX 4060 with it, but check power requirements of any GPU you want to buy.

beQuiet! PP 12M 550w is a compromise choice: https://es.pcpartpicker.com/product...ertified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-bn502
It does have the new nvidia connector, and it's very reliable and quiet. It doesn't have much power, but it's enough for your current PC.

If you cant afford the Focus-GX, then don't look at future proofing and go with the beQuiet!

Don't buy a PSU with less than 5 years warranty. 7+ is even better.

Also, the PPP doesn't have all the information about prices and shops in Spain. You may find better deals yourself.

Thank you, that's a lot of useful info!

The beQuiet! PP 12M seems to be a good middle ground. I could go with the 650w version for a litte more of peace of mine.

But it's a only multi-rail unit, will it need a special configuration?
