[SOLVED] Replacing bad hard drive queries

I've recently realised that my current hard drive is pretty awful and faulty, so I've ordered a new one to replace it. I have a few questions,

Do I just plug out the old drive, plug it in to my current one, and insert my USB after, boot it up and install Windows?

After the installation of Windows, will I need to install the motherboard bios thingies, the drivers, chipset etc etc?

Q 1 Yes. Take the Guardian out, plug in the Blue and install windows. Make sure to get the latest files from the w 10 d/l site.
Q 2 Yes. Install the latest drivers for the video card as well if there is a discrete gpu.
Q 3 Yes, going from 5400 rpm to 7200 is a significant improvement showing a little more rapid file system etc.
