well, just take a look at this thread, similar as yours (everything is explained here. and i really mean everything).

basically, and in short, you can replace your CPU, because that socket type does not have the CPU soldered.
HOWEVER, the top CPU you can upgrade to is a Pentium 2030M.
Now the thing is, the clock of that new CPU will be +1GHz of what you have now. That will help a bit in performance yes, and you can do it with no problem yes (i assume you have basic knowledge in hardware replacement, thermal paste application, etc.), but it will likely heat up a bit more than the current CPU.
If you already have high temps on the laptop, I advise you not to do it.
If you can find the new CPU (Pentium 2030M) for some 20$ or something, go ahead and replace it, do some stress test and see how the temps go. If all is good, fine
😀 if not, replace back to the old one.
I think that 20$ is not much and it is worth at least to experiment and to learn some stuff on the process
