Im sure this has been discussed before, but I need some help. My motherboard broke so I'm going to be replacing it with a new one. Windows Vista is stored on my hdd so is there going to be any problem when I connect my NEW motherboard to the hdd? It was an OEM version of Vista I bought when I first built my system. I'm going from a broken Gigabyte P35 DS3L to a Gigabyte GA G31M Micro ATX mobo if that makes any difference. I don't want to have to buy Vista again...

Solution
(1) You won't have to buy Vista again.

(2) You may be prompted to re-register it. 5 minute phone call.

(3) Back up *EVERYTHING* before starting

(4) Since the two motherboards are different chipsets, you should do a clean install of Vista.
