[citation][nom]dudemcduderson[/nom]Hasten, not really COD really is just that bad of a game that you don't have to be a fanboy of something else to realize how terrible it really is[/citation]

I don't think it's so much the game itself. The community that makes it stupid.

FYI..

BioWare posted the following:

"Rumor has it that about a thousand customers who purchased Call of Duty: Black Ops II for PC today were also treated to a surprise copy of Mass Effect 2. If you were one of the affected, chances are you thought it was a mistake, but we prefer to think that it was an omen, and when the universe talks, you should listen.

If the universe thinks that you should be playing Mass Effect right now, who are we to argue? In fact, we want to help! The first fifty fans affected by this phenomenon to send us a picture holding their special disc 2 will receive a code for a FREE PC copy of Mass Effect Trilogy.

Remember, in order to qualify, YOU must be in the picture, and disc 2 of your Call of Duty: Black Ops II must be visible. Got it? Then send your photo to community@bioware.com and you could be playing your very own Mass Effect Trilogy in time for the weekend!"

[citation][nom]IndignantSkeptic[/nom]WTF is a disc and why are people buying contraptions like that when they have a PC? We have a thing now called the Internet which works with this thing called electricity. Google it. Some people should be just sent to live in Talibanistan/Poliostan, I swear.[/citation]
There's this thing called a monthly data allowance that ISPs put on their customers internet. Alot of people would rather get as much game data offline as they can and use their data allowance on actually playing the game online. I know its hard to believe but not everyone has 100gb+ a month to use.

Not that I would buy Call of Duty anyway, but this sucks for the paying customers. Someone at the disk factory is getting fired. xD

[citation][nom]hate machine[/nom]It is not an issue if you buy a product and it does not function at all?[/citation]I rarely use the physical discs anymore, myself, even when I buy a physical copy. You never know what kind of nastyware comes on the optical media. So I just toss the key into Steam and let it download. With FiOS it doesn't generally take very long. If it does I can always let it go overnight or while I'm at work.

I would say that if it was a "must play it now" kind of game, I'd need the optical discs. But typically the games that I absolutely must play ASAP are ones where all I need to do is patch the already-installed beta client and be on my merry way.

I bought modern warfare 2 and thats about it.... same graphics, same gameplay as other COD.... I wonder why do they need to release so many versions of the same game.... it's getting bored u know...

I went to Best Buy yesterday around 6 p.m. to buy a mouse and I saw about 10 or so people camping out - yes, camping! I asked one what's up and she told me they were waiting for a midnight release of Black Ops II - I almost laughed but I didn't want to be rude. In 2012 people still line up to buy a video game that is practically released every single year? On top of that, imagine one of those poor chaps running home with a hard-on/wet and finding that they can't even install the game. Really, that's comical...and I'm not even the evil type.

I'm thinking most of the people hating CoD are noobs in general. My brother is in the top 200 score for BF3 on PS3 and he bought Black Ops 2 (and number one for a certain leaderboard...). It's not cool to hate a video game just because you think people will like you for it.

Give it a chance before you call it crap. I bet you nooblets have crap stats in battlefield, and are just trying to justify it.

[citation][nom]soldier2013[/nom]What moron would eveh buy this game over the age of 25 and even worse for PC. A ridiculous re hash of the same old stuff as before same graphics just run and gun. For sure a terrible PC port on top of that.[/citation]

true but havent you heard they've actually had to do some work this time around as its set in the future so they've added lazors and stuff...pew pew

This is even hard to comprehend... Call of duty a dificult shooter... Try unreal tournament, tribes ascend, starcraft broodwar and starcraft 2...

After those games, battlefield3 and cod are simply boring.

[citation][nom]hasten[/nom]LOL!! How do you make a blunder this big?[/citation]
Back in the dark old days, A copy of X-Wing Vs Tie Fighter I purchased had the disk printing on the 2 CDs switched, so CD 1 was CD2 and vice versa. But having one of the disks containing data for a completely separate game really takes the cake.
