Wow that scared the hell out of me, i got goosebumps and was like WTF. Phew, i hope they pull this through. If they finish they will make Millions off of 1 game, probably break a record. So many people anticipated this game for over 10 years.

All together now:
"Its time to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of gum!"

[citation][nom]Ciuy[/nom]Development on the Duke Nukem Trilogy is continuing as planned.PFIIIUUUU ...[/citation]
This is not the DNF game this is a new set of portable games.

It won't be the end... another team will pick it up and almost finish it, just so they can cancel it again and piss everyone off.

I bet no one ever really worked on it.

Where are the serious modders out there? They should just make the damn game for them.

Shutting down tends to happen when a software company doesn't make software. According to Wikipedia, their last game (that wasn't a rehash of DN3D) was Prey which came out in 2006 and before that was Max Payne 2 in 2003. One game every 3 years isn't a healthy habit.

It will be tragic if DNF never gets released.

After all those years winning king of vaporware titles, we need Duke to come out for a sense of closure. I was really looking forward to mocking this game when it never meets the 10+ years of expectations its set.

Wow... Now what I do with my collection of Duke Nukem MAPS ???

Crytek manages though....

Far Cry- Spring 2004
Crysis- Fall 2007

You might actually see a DNF game if they went under. Some company like EA would come in, buy up the rights to the game for cheap, and rush some crapware out the door. But I don't think anyone wants that.

I gotta say, at this point hand it over to us. Cut your losses, make it open source.
Most people think they game would suck anyway since it's been dragged out too long, ala Hellgate or Too Human.

I guess the name "Duke Nukem Forever" will best describe how long we will wait for this one to get released... if they tank, they should open the source up to the public and let us complete it!

[citation][nom]zingam[/nom]Finally! Now we could have new Duke Nukem eventually.[/citation]

Is Duke Nukem Eventually going to be the prequel to Duke Nukem Forever?

At least it sounds more likely to actually be released. 😉

(yes I'm trying to be funny)

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo 🙁

I know you guys want to get more hits on your website. But seriously, don't post news like this thats unconfirmed, its irresponsible.

Look I can do it too:

Rumor has it that a meteor the size of Texas is going to slam into earth in 72 hours.

[Update] The meteor that was sighted turned out to be a smudge on the lens of the telescope, no worries.

my god, even with the engine changes and a million other lame excuses there is NO REASON those 71 bugs should not be finished within 2 weeks!

The game is completed. They dont need developement money from take2. Because it's finished. They are getting rid of the level designers. Because the levels are done.

That's the way I read that part.
