Shouldn't be more than $599 to $650 at release. Obviously this card isn't for people that game at 1080 or less. I game at 2560 x 1600 max settings in every game. Hopefully this will be worth an upgrade over the 680.

Will be switching to AMD if Nvidia is trying to rob us with costs on their gpus. I was thinking about getting either a 780 or 770, but not so sure now... 770 cards better be priced like the original 70 are around 350-400, otherwise I'm not going with Nvidia this time.

soldier2013, your comment is wrong. I game at 1920x1200, which is slightly above 1080p and my current gtx 570 is not enough to max all games out. This games are becoming more and more demanding. I would suggest people get the most powerful card they can get, of course if the price is fair to their wallets.

Well, comparing the Titan the the GTX 780, there isn't really much difference... Just 192 lesser cores... it's kind of obvious Nvidia will have to put it at a higher price, or else everyone is going to buy the GTX 780, and no one will buy the Titan. But personally I think the Titan is kind of overpriced, and it should be priced at around $800. Looking at the pricing of the Titan and the specs of the GTX 780 itself as of now, I think it's going to be priced probably atleast $700 - $800... maybe even $900.

This is what happens when there isn't competition in the market. With no Radeon equivalent to keep the price in check, it allows NVidia to gouge customers. I'm sure when they saw AMD announce that there would be no more new cards released until late '13 early '14, nVidia had $$ signs rolling in their eyes.

Nvidia is being full of themselves when their GK110 performance lead isnt really big in every bench. 680 are pricer than 7970 yet slower.
Intel have total performance domination in all performance sectors yet it at least doesnt screw us over on mid range to high end price sector. Only the premium top X series CPU is overpriced. The rest are priced pretty Okish not far off from AMD.
May be it is time to boycott Nvidia lol

I think this is nVidia being lazy :/. Yeah, go ahead and increase the core count and the price and call it a day... what they really need to do is increase the memory bus to higher bandwidths so that it will better compete with AMDs 384bit memory interface. Increasing cores is AMDs job xD lol.

I don't see how Nvidia is doing anything wrong here. AMD's top end cards are expensive too. You pay for what you get. No one is forcing you to buy the latest and greatest. If you think the 700 series cards are too expensive, I'm sure there are some 500 and 600 series cards that will get the job done for less money. Use your heads people.
I'm excited to see what Nvidia is going to be offering in the future. Though the Titan is priced a little higher than what I would have liked to see, it is an amazing card. I'm glad there are finally GPU solution out that can tackle large multiple monitor setups.

Like some others, I don't see what is wrong with this. This strategy actually give nVidia a chance to spread out the massively congested and often confusing low and mid range cards. There will still be GPUs that are marketed for the sub £100 price tag and everything in between. People have long wanted more powerful single GPUs that allow them to run multi high res monitor set ups without the issues inherent with either dual GPU cards or SLi/Crossfire. These customers are now getting what they wanted, super powerful GPUs, why shouldn't they be asked to pay for them though?
Unless you are running these set ups then a mid range card for anything between £150-£250 from either nVidia or AMD will do the job with ease.
So please, take a minute and think again, what exactly are you complaining about?

Max detail but not necessarily maintaining 60+FPS.

I can play a fair amount of stuff on my old HD5770 with most details maxed out at 1200p as long as I do not mind frame rates dipping to 20fps in more crowded/complex scenes.

Yes, that's an ancient GPU by most people's standards here. But for what little gaming I do, it is still good enough for me.

Best price for GTX 780 or Titan LE 599$ and Titan 799$, if there is a Titan Ultra 999$ pricing more than that will drove customers towards AMD. Nvidia is just trying to cash a lot with their monopoly. With AMD's new 7990 its giving away 8 games for free worth a minimum 330$ with backplate, if they are able to do that, why can't Nvidia? Not good.
