Resource conflict - PCI

Just loaded window xp on to my IBM T20 laptop, and whist
booting i get the following error.

Resouce Conflict - PCI
Bus:00 , Device:03, Function:01

can anybody offer any help

At what point does this message come up? Is it a Windows error or a system
message that appears during the POST?

Message comes up before windows starts, so I guess its a
POST error

In that case, it's a hardware issue, and not related to XP. You might want
to see if you can find out from IBM which device that is, or go into the
bios and see if you can figure out what the device is and what the conflict
is.
