Question Restore emmc?

I have this common problem with my hp laptop where it says boot device not found,please install an operating system on your hard disk.

I have tried tutorials on you tube but the problem is still the same.

I have some important stuff on it so I dont want to send it to repair service to restore the files beccause I dont thrust them and steal my b t c words.

I could make them remove the emmc chip and then i put it in a emmc reader, would that work?

I also got a sugestion to boot the laptop from a USB with archbang or sergei strelec but i cant do that until the end of the month beccause I need to buy a new computer for that.

I cant make a bootble usb with my android, right?

Completely unknown.
It could be an actually dead device.

Or, it might be soldered directly to the motherboard.

That's exactly how it works. No backup, kiss your data goodby on a drive failure.

Irrelevant, because you don't have the hundreds of thousands of $$ to apply to a data recovery.

Especially on a solid state device, like your eMMC.

No way for you to know how much money i have. Been invested in c r y p t o since 2015 so....

Opened it up to see if the storage device is removable?

If it is, it might be able to be read in a different system.

If you really could afford to spend that much money and, the data was sufficiently important to justify the spend, you would have gone straight to a data recovery firm, you wouldn't be farting about here. Equally, you would be looking even more of an idiot for not having backups, note my use of the plural.

If they do that, i guess my last option is to buy emmc reader and try.

I said what the reason was,that i have c r y p t o keys on it that I dont want someone else to see abd thats why I try to do it myself.
Not saying i have 5 billion usd there but its a decent amount.

Legacy mode or otherwise has nothing to do with this.

At the very least, you need to boot from some other device and OS.
Anything Linux based. Or even a Windows install USB.

The cause of the problem here is completely unknown.

It might be the boot partition is corrupted.
It might be the drive is totally dead.
It might be the communication between the eMMC and the motherboard is faulty.
Or something else completely.

I moved some c r y p t o to exodus wallet on my laptop just a few days ago and had the words in a text file on the laptop, but that like 10% of my totalt portfolio but still, it was a decent amount

And currently, the laptop is the sole repository of whatever wallet you moved there?

For those specific coin yes.
I have never used exodus before and wanted to try it since they also have a swap in it,but of course i I have a real off line wallet like trezor abd for that I have the seeds well hidden and in a few different places.

Search google store or whatever you have for "rufus for android" or "iso to usb" "drofus" "etchdroid" there are tons of windows apps that got ported to android.
