so I had to install another W10 on my backup SSD, because the main one (M2) stopped booting (automatic repair loop) after I tried to uninstall my old GPU drivers with DDU.

I tried in every way to restore it but to no avail, and now I find myself with a new W10 installation on my backup SSD, but i want to restore the one from the M2 because there are so many installled files there and i don't have space to backup everything.

btw the M2 is recognized by the bios and system (as F)

is it possible to recover it? windows folder is there but it's not as as windows.old

i've managed to recover the files with sfc and it worked, but now i have no idea what to do now

thanks

Did you try booting into safe mode from M.2 drive?
What model M.2 drive is it?

Diagnose M.2 drive with manufacturer specific SSD tool.
Samsung Magician for Samsung drives,
Crucial Storage Executive for Crucial drives e.t.c.

Show screenshots with diagnostic software.

Have you tried disconnecting the second ssd and try setting the m.2 as boot. Then try to boot just with the one drive. Starting point then see what happens.

If it is recognised as the boot drive in bios and still wont boot, you could try repairing the MBR on the m.2 ??

Edit: I've managed to restore my M2 Windows 10 boot through the W10 system restore command promt

it seems that i had accidentally deleted something which i've managed to restore somehow with the bootrec (MBR ???) commands

thanks

Thats good you got it going. In my previous post I was referring to repairing the bootrec. MBR...Master Boot Record. Sorry for the terminology confusion. Cheers
