While the case is fairly dated at this point, if you still like it and it's compatible with all the hardware you want to use (GPU length etc), then yes, it's totally viable.
As for front panel connectors, those are standardized. Individual connectors for each pin(s), reset, power etc. You'd jsut consult the manual of your new motherboard to ensure you're connecting them to the right place.
The only major thing you'd be losing out on is front panel USB3
