Im looking to build a gaming pc for the first time. He are the two builds I put together, so let me know if the more costly would really be worth it.

Build 1:
Raidmax Blackstorm ATX 615WU case
AMD Phenom ii x4 965 Black edition
MSI 970A-G43 Mother board
2x HIS IceQ Radeon HD 6850s
Corsair TX650 V2
Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB
Lite-On Drive
Seagate 500GB 7200rpm HDD

Total: 860$

Build 2:
NZXT Phantom White case
Intel i5 2500k
Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 Mother board
2x HIS IceQ Radeon HD 6850s
Corsair TX650 V2
Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB
Lite-On Drive
Seagate 500GB 7200rpm HDD

Total: 1060$

If both of these suck (could very well) let me know they suck. Also let me know what build you would do in this price range if you want. Tell me whats good or whats bad with both builds, where I could improve or save. Thanks

Well... I will say they both suck. The second one is slightly better (Raidmax is horrible) but I'd never recommend going with 2 6850s when you could get a single Radeon 7870 and it will be far far faster than anything else in it's class.

Here's what I would recommend based off both of those builds:

Case: Corsair Carbide 400R - $99.99
PSU: Corsair TX750 V2 - $104.99
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3H - $159.99
CPU: 3.30GHz Intel Core i5-2500K - $219.99
Cooler: Cooler Master...
