Hey guys, just wanted to run my build through all of you and see if I'm messing up anything obvious. This will be my first major personal build (for gaming). Just curious if there are any upgrades or changes I can make that will have a drastic change.

It would work, but I'd change a few things -

instead of non OC i5 on Z77 mobo,

And I gather you've got a 750W power supply to be able to later add another gtx970. You haven't got a very good one.

i7Baby, I went with your MOBO CPU setup, as well as a better PSU, thanks for the recommendations on that. Saving some money too like you mentioned. Always awesome. I was kinda going for a black theme, but I really don't care too much seeing the better yield in results.
