Question RGB-related head-scratcher!

I am running a new build and use 6 ll series Corsair fans. My case is Corsair, as is my AIO and RAM. I am using a Commander Core XT as my Fan/RGB hub and installed Version 4 of iCue (not 5 due to many reports of RAM issues). In my fan curve settings, all fans are working perfectly and as they should be, however, when it comes to lighting iCue is only detecting 5 of 6 fans and 4 of 6 fans are not lighting as all as seen here and here.

- Using W11 clean install
- Bios all up to date
- Everything connected as it should be
- Fans lighting all work. When I swap them around the same port is dimmed always.

Nothing is working. In fact, the middle front port was lighting up for a while and is now dimmed.

Any suggestions?

Open customer support ticket with Corsair and use it to RMA your Commander Core XT. Since it looks like manufacturing defect.

It's not defective. I tried using my older commander pro as the fan hub alongside the case's RBG hub and had exact same issue.

As you can see here it is capable of reading all of the fans RGB ports

What that says is that the Commander Pro older unit was perfectly capable of controlling the FAN MOTORS, exactly as the newer Commander Core XT unit was. However, with that substitution in place, the Commander Core XT unit controlling the fan LIGHTS still could not do the job properly. If that really is what you did with those results, then Aeacus is right (above). The newer Commander Core XT unit is failing for LIGHT control.

Thanks for the reply. Even when I plug the RGB headers into the case's RGB hub and lave the fan headers in the commander core the problem persists. The exact same fan ports stay dimmed regardless of how much I switch them around.

Since, i too have Corsair cases, two of them (and i don't think you can guess what i have, based on brand name alone).

Could be LED overload, but need to know case model so i can look up info about the RGB hub it comes with.
