Something came up telling me that my fle history drive was disconnected for longtime and that I need to reconnect it. I tried to follow the process but I can't get nowhere. The control panel tells me that the file history is on, but something asks me to select a new drive and add a network location. The list the page gives me to choose off , of network location, does not work. I'm getting a headache, I'm a computer beginner.

Solution
Was there a time where data was being stored/written/backedup onto a storage device externally or on a server or a NAS? If not then there may be a possibility that one of your drives has malfunctioned.

Could you please specify your full systems specs? If no hardware was added or removed then could you recall since when have you been experiencing the issue? After a Windows update? If so then you can try and perform a system restore to a point prior to the issue cropping up or a repair install with your updates in place.
