Question Rift S giving no display to main monitor on startup unless DP cable is unplugged ?

So recently I had upgraded from an RX 5600 to an RTX 2080 Ti and now my Windows 11 PC won't show any display or POST unless I unplug the Rift S DisplayPort cable and restart the system.

I've tried so far:

• Swapping the DP cables
• Doing a clean installation of drivers
• System restore (twice!)

It worked fine with an old different monitor but right now I'm using a Samsung C27FG70

My thought is that having a DP cable plugged in is causing a short somewhere.

Either directly in the receiving DP port at the "pins level" or by causing some flexing and subseqent metal to metal contact with respect to the port/board/case.

Power down, unplug, open the case.

Clean out dust and debris.

Use a bright flashlight to inspect the GPU, cables, plugs, etc. for any signs of debris or damage.

Looks like it was the DP port then.

Cleaned it out and it works like a charm now.
