Right click is dead

Out of the blue, the right mouse click stopped working. Left click works fine. I'm in safe mode because of hard drive problems, but everything but the right click seems to be working okay.

I actually don't even know what mouse button mappings are, Gamerk! You're way ahead of me! After a week offline I returned to find the right click working sometimes, with repeated clickings. Maybe the mouse is wearing out, as Moto suggested. Thanks for your reply. You guys are great.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to check,
depending on how heavy you use the mouse, gaming etc, I'd say its time for a new one
intermittent non-clicking suggests to me either take it to bits and check the microswitch is clean/clear of dirt etc or the switch itself is failing,

Try pressing the "right-click" keyboard button to see if it's not something happening there - it's the first button to the left of your right-hand <crtl> button. Otherwise, mouse might need replacement. 2 years isn't too long for a mouse to last, but hey, things break. Therefore you have a warranty.
