ringing noise is emitting from my pc

hi .

lately my pc is making a ringing noise like a high pitched hissing could dust buildup cause this? its bad cuz ive got tinnitus.

my pc specs:

asrock 870 extreme3 mb
nvidia 1050ti gpu
wdgreen ssd with w10 on it
16gb ddr3 ram
500watt thermaltake psu
phenom ii x4 cpu
soundblaster audigy fx

Welcome to the forums! I also have tinnitus, so I can appreciate how annoying it must be!

Can you pinpoint where the noise is coming from?
How many in case fans do you also have?
Are you sure it isn't a bad coil whine?

it sounds like it coming from the front fan. i also have a rear fan that isnt screwed in properly (?)

i called the pc store. they just said it could be my gpu overheating.

edit: i just put all my old mb and stuff in a new case

If it is coming from a front fan, it could just be severe coil whine. Poor fan models may also have an increased problem with coil whine. It could be various things, but first step would be to open the case and identify where the noise is coming from.

Has the whine only started after the new fan install?

Find out where the noise is coming from and feedback.
You can also post a video on here (via imgur e.g.) so we can hear the type of noise it is making.

sound s weird, but it sounds like its coming from a harddrive.
