RMA worthy? (Backlight bleed) (Asus PG279Q)

Hi I have just bought this monitor and even though I knew about the bleeding issues I assumed by 2018 the QC at asus May have improved.

Below are 2 shots of the screen one in game and one of a bleed test:

What do you guys think? Return worthy? When running in game/video it’s no way near as noticible but for £700 I want a second opinion, cheers

There's really no way we can tell how things look from pictures, since cameras tend to exaggerate things a lot. It looks more like IPS glow, which is an inherent part of the panel, not a defect. There's nothing QC-wise to improve about that.

This is a personal psychological question. There is no absolute standard here, but if it is going to bother you in the future, you should return and exchange while you still have the chance. I exchanged 7 of 9 Dell S2716DG to get 2 that I found good enough. But I am picky and I refuse to take any monitors with even 1 bad pixel and any sort of noticeable backlight bleed.

And it seems it is bothering you enough that you are asking on the forums, so that should be an indication to yourself about how you feel about it.
