I am RMAing my I5-750. I got a 750 and a LGA1156 motherboard this past weekend. I could not get it to boot up-could not even get to the bios. I am not sure if it is the processor or the motherboard, but there is no way for me to test the processor-my old board is AMD. Hence, I need to RMA the motherboard and the CPU since I only have 7 days for the CPU.

I cannot find the little plastic case for the actual CPU (have the heat sink plastic) Not sure what happened to it.. What else can I ship the CPU in to make sure it is not damaged in shipping (if it is not already damaged)?

That my friend is a big problem most likely when you return it in packageing other then what it came in they are gonna say its your fault. But to be honest the odds of getting a bad CPU is slim I would say RMA just the motherboard because its not uncommon to get a bad motherboard I have gotten a few but yet I have never gotten a bad processor, and I buy at least 2 or 3 processors a year for the last 16 years.
