Question rog crosshair x670e hero pcie speed question when using gen 4 m.2s

I am looking to add two pcie 4 m.2s as storage to my rog crosshair x670e hero, but I want to make sure that my GPU won't get knocked down to X8. From reading the user's manual, I am pretty sure that the GPU slot only gets knocked down to X8 if I put a PCIE 5 m.2 in the secondary m.2 slots.

Can anyone confirm this?

I have the last gen top end X3D CPU.

Looking through your motherboard manual and it's specs;

I don't see any lanes being shared with the PCIeX16 slots and the M.2 slots.

Just don't drop in another card/device onto the lower PCIeX16 slot.
