Lol, good evening to you, too 😀 I see the similarities, but that's like every other case out there! And CM690II looks better - maybe because of the blue LEDs? Can't stand the red ones... that's probably because I always get freaked out because of the red lights inside my case, they've pissed me off enough when my board used to get GPU errors  My new case will have blue lighting only, that's for sure.

Yeah, I'm not a red-LED-case-hav'n kinda guy either. ...makes the case look like it's on the r@g or someth'n. :heink: I think that was one of my problems with the stock HAF-X...but I see they're now offering a corrected version.

HAF X looks ugly no matter the colour of LEDs. Corsair and NZXT FTW.

[citation][nom]mrmotion[/nom]Rosewill is definitely stepping up the game. Its nice to see what they have done. My next case my be one of theres. They used to be cheap crappy cases but this one shows some definite promise for some high end all internal case builds. Lot of space to do some cool shit[/citation]

Amen. I saw a PSU of theirs a couple years back and it was pretty scary. I wouldn't trust it. Now they show promise.

Surprised the author didn't comment on "oooooo the PSU is on the bottom!!! *gasp*" I'm referring to that thermaltake case advertis.... I mean preview...

My first impression was ALSO that it looks very much like a Cooler Master CM 690 II knock-off and the other comments confirmed it. "Ultra Gaming" they say. Bwahahaha.

Looking at it from the side they even copied the top-back curves. Come on!

Kinda reminds me of my HAF 942 it's about five pounds heavier. I wonder if their gonna include caster wheels like mine has if not it would be a back breaker my rig is 80lbs+ dressed.

it includes the wheels i end up doing a little reading up on it

[citation][nom]rrockman[/nom]Newbie's question, triggered by the 2 power supplies thing: would it be possible to power a graphic card through a second power supply and then turning it on and off at-will, with the rest of the system on? Or would that fry something dead? (And why?)[/citation]

The PCI bus does provide power to the GPU, so if you turned off the GPU power supply depending on your system it might have a critical device failure or something.

But it won't fry anything to cut power to your gpu. On a decent mobo, you would just lose video and the device would vanish from device manager.

If you had two cards in sli or xfire, and cut the power to one, that would probably crash the video driver. It isn't made to withstand a card failing.

That certainly seems like a neat trick that Nvidia and AMD should work on. ...being able to disable/power-down all but the primary card in a multi-card setup at will.

[citation][nom]MattMock[/nom]@alidan I tape pennies over all the leds in my bedroom.[/citation]

what i use is a nice solid plastic 1.5in diameter circle from car dashboard parts, parents use to inspect the parts and pop those out, i collected them because i knew they would be useful. these things stick better than duct tape and are thick to the point that no light an pass through them, they are honestly the best thing that you can use that i have found.

[citation][nom]caedenv[/nom]I dont know about wasting pennies, but electrical tape goes over everything I have.I do have 1 fan with LEDs on the bottom panel of my case. It gives a nice glow effect so I know that it is on (because my case is currently silent), but I can turn the light off if I need to. But lights and noise are just not to be tolerated in my house... a glorious ideal that will be shattered as my son gets older.[/citation]

never liked electrical tape, for me it never stuck good at higher tempatures, slid around, and always leaves this residue... if that's not the case for what you are using can you link to where i can buy some?

Rosewill has always seemed a crapshoot for quality to me. I wouldn't trust their electronics, but a case I might.

For finding Rosewill in Australia, you might try emailing them.

If the mesh on that side panel pops out and allows for an easy window install, its a pretty nice case.

Alternatively, since there's a 140mm exhaust, and that side panel fan looks lower in relation to the cpu cooler area, [strike]it might actually support some crazy idea like housing a noctua nh-d14 and a side panel fan at the same time.... which might actually be a first[/strike]... whoah!

Edit: after a second look, its doubtful, but still a decent functional case...

This looks like a solid case but they need a version with standard non-LED fans. I do not understand why there is this drive for lighted/flashy cases. When I'm gaming the last thing I want is this glowing 36lb behemoth in my peripheral vision.

This chassis appears to be marketed to the gaming crowd...and the gaming crowd often wants to set themselves apart from their peers. One way to do that is with garrish designs and flashy things. ...hence, the LEDs.

How come everybody lets the name 'Black Hawk' just slip on by - BlackHawk is bad enough but BlackHawk-Ultra: LOL. Sorry but its just a bad name hehe
