[SOLVED] Router 1 gb ?

Hi,

I use many Raspberry pi and I wanted to put them on a dedicated ethernet router

but, apparently, while switches are available as 1gb ports, routers have eth ports limited to 100mbps

- is there a reason for this ?

- I am looking for a small 1gb eth (4ports ?) router; is there something similar ?

Not sure what you are looking at. Most routers now have gigabit wan and lan ports. Very inexpensive models and older ones only have 100m.

Fold the antenna down or remove if you don't need the WiFi.

If you really need small, and wired only, then a MikroTik HeX is as fast as any router. It is not as simple as your typical home router.
