Hey guys so I a few months ago I bought myself an XFX THIC 3 5700 XT. I was never able to install it because I needed a larger PSU. This week I happened to pick up a new PSU and had her installed. Unfortunately, whenever I launch into a AAA game like MW (like starting into a match) it seems to just shut off instantly and restart. Sometimes ill be able to join a match, play for a minute and then it shuts down. My old Nvidia drivers are completely off it and I have the latest AMD display drivers. When I do happen to load into a game, the game runs perfectly fine. The FPS is great, my temps are fine and overall the system is stable until it crashes.

Here are my current Specs:
CPU: i7-8700K
GPU: XFC Thicc 3 RT 5700 XT
Motherboard: Asus Strix Z370H Gaming
Ram: 16gb HyperX 2600mhz
PSU: 650W

I've tried the following troubleshooting:
  • Putting the card into a near-identical system (Was fine)
  • Had the card sent back to PCCG for testing (Was fine)
  • Installed and reinstalled AMD Drivers/Software

Really stressed out about this one, cheers

Well, I'm not sure if it has to do with the PSU but I had a similar problem.
Each time I tried to create a third Minecraft world(I have a super old low-end laptop), which idk why but pushed my laptop to the limits. While the world was created my laptop went instantly black screen an then just shutdown-ing itself.
I also have to mention that it randomly did the same thing while I was playing web games.

After being fed up with the situation I searched up on Google and I found that even Power Plans can be the cause.
Before having this problem I added an "Ultimate Performance Power Plan" which was the cause of my problem. After checking back my default plan, the problem was solved. Again I don't expect this to be the cause but, it can still be tried.

So to see what Power Plans you have click on the Start button and type Power Plans and you should click on the first option. Then see what Power Plan you have. Change between them and see if something changes.

Hope your problem get's solved!
