Looking at upgrading my gpu from RX 570 8GB card. Looking hard at the EVGA RTX 2070 XC Ultra for both the 2070 and 2080 models.

Current build:

Ryzen 7 1700x
XFX RX 570 8gb
2 x 8gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000
ASUS ROG Strix B-350 F Gaming Motherboard
Corsair CX750 Psu - non modular bronze rated
1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD
Meshify C - Fractal Design
LG Ultrawide Monitor

I like the price point of the 2070 and would allow me to go for an m.2 ssd. Part of me wants to plunk down the cash for the 2080 just to have it. I'm looking to game in good quality graphics, really don't plan on a 4k monitor(wouldn't be against getting one though). 1. Will i be satisfied with a 2070? 2. Will the PSU be ok? 3. Is the 2080 worth the extra $200 considering my current build?

Solution
1. For 2560x1080P or 3440x1440P I'd think you'd be happy with a 2070.

2. Yep.

3. If it's the 3440x1440P then it may be worth the extra cash.
I got as 2060 @1080p nothing stops it.
Depends on what Res you want to game at and how much money you want to burn.
2080 is really not worth it. If you have to choose one, 2070, but unless you are playing in higher res, even the 2070 isn't worth it unless you get that new monitor which is more money.

Good to know, what is really driving the decision is Amazon.com has an option for certain items to be bought on a 5 month payment plan with no interest. So I could get a 2070 for $140 down the 120 for 4 months. Or the 2080 at 200 then 160. I work for Amazon so I get a nice discount too which pays for tax. It's only on the EVGA ultra cards from what I've seen.
