Hello everyone,

Recently I bought a used RTX 3080ti board. My pc was running ok with the respective specs:

Mobo: Asus TUF x570 am4
CPU: Ryzen 9 5950x
GPU: gtx 1080ti
32gb RAM ddr4
PSU: 850w gold xpg
4 SSD 500gb each
and some coolers...

After I installed the RTX 3080ti I pushed the power button to turn it on and boom nothing happened, I took it to the technical service they said my mobo was dead.. Initially they thought that the used RTX 3080ti was shortened and killed the Mother board, but then they test it in another machine and the GPU was getting video and working. My mobo cannot turn on.

Someone knows what happened?

My mobo was refurbished but was working fine with the old setup.

How old is the PSU? History of heavy use for gaming, video editing, etc.?

= = = =

Did that technical service do any testing on the PSU?

For example:

My recommendation is to go to the Asus website and find the applicable motherboard's User Guide/Manual.

Double check all connections for correctness and that each connection is fully and firmly in place.

Pay close attention to all connections, card seatings, RAM, jumpers, and case connections (including the power switch). Double check case connections - they can be confusing.....

Boot with only the C: drive connected (power/data disconnected for other drives).

Objective being to narrow down potential culprits.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

PSU: 850w gold xpg
How old is the PSU in your build?

Is this;
the motherboard you're working with or the Wi-Fi variant?
Try and refer to page 3-22, section 3.11.3, Asus CrashFreeBIOS 3;

It's possible that the motherboard conked out, was only a matter of time before it did.

Yeah as the 3 other guys said, Did they test the PSU? But if the board did die, it would have eventually, If you are short on money, look into a B550 board with a decent VRM setup if all you do is game really, chances that you need the x570 is pretty slim. Of course we are here to help if need be.

Good Luck!
