You realize a bb gun can do serious damage, right? I thought the same as you, that they weren't dangerous. Then I blew my middle toe apart, had reconstructive surgery, spent three days in the hospital and two months with pins in my foot.

On topic, why does virtual money matter so much to some people? It's not worth nearly two decades in prison to get a few Runescape coins.

[citation][nom]jalek[/nom]$3300 for game currency? Who even makes a deal like that, and can I sell you something?[/citation]

it depends, i dont know the runescape economy anymore. but i do know with everquest its about 10-15$ for 100000 platinum, 100k plat is almost worthless, and to buy anything of value, you need about 5 million. i would say closer to 50 million if you want anything current.

take that for what its worth, from my understanding, you could buy a full set of the highest end items and still have money left over to buy another with what he has

All these bb gun experts in one place 😛 who would have guessed.

All money is virtual money if you look at the fact that its really worthless without the backing of the gold it replaced. Oh and if you do look at it that way, it is in fact worthless 😛. So like someone above mentioned, its all about supply and demand, to some the demand of this virtual currency is worth jail time, to others its a stupid petty crime. I just hope he comes up with a better excuse of why he was sent to prison.

A BB gun isn't a toy and is a lethal device that shoots (BB's) at 350ft per second(correct me if I'm wrong).

Kid have die from them, just imagine if one shot you in the eye and went into your frontal lobe damaging it, which that part of the brain controls the dopamine system which is in charge of reward, attention, short-term attention memory tasks, planning, and motivation.

Use common sense, it's one of our most powerful tools.

I'm pretty sure that different BB guns can have different velocities. That BB gun comment is probably one of the most replied to comments in all of Tom's history, lol.

There's a huge range of BB guns. I've owned some that fire 6mm plastic BBs at less than 200 feet/sec. I can shoot them at my hand point blank and they don't hurt one bit. I also have one that shoots at 350 fps. I've seen some that shoot upwards of 600 fps. I'm sure there are some that use metallic BBs as well. Point: they range from a harmless toy (as long as you aren't an idiot when you use it - I use safety glasses whenever we're shooting each other with them) to a potential weapon.

Also, many of them are designed to replicate the look and feel of a real gun, with the exception of an orange tip. If this tip is painted over, it becomes extremely difficult to differentiate a BB gun from a real firearm, sometimes even if you're holding it.

[citation][nom]Proxy711[/nom]a BB gun at close range can cause a lot of damage, if you got hit in the eye you'd lose it for sure.I knew someone back in elementary school who got shot in the leg with one and had to have it surgically removed.[/citation]

Did they surgically remove the leg or the BB?

[citation][nom]rebel1280[/nom]http://www.airgundepot.com/co2-air-pistols.htmlAll of these will do 500-700 FPS...that is no joke man, that will do some serious damage and all of them look very menacing to the uninitiated.[/citation]

Wow, that's ...scary for a BB gun. They look real too.

Those are airsoft guns. They are toys, can't hurt anyone, shoot plastic balls at low speed, and are modeled after real guns. hence the orange tip. Because they are toys.

BB guns are GUNS. NONE have orange tips because they are NOT TOYS. They are guns. They shoot metal projectiles. At high speed. Yes using one to threaten someone will probably get you shot/killed/your ass beat by anyone who knows better, but they can still hurt you and occasionally kill you

obviously this person laughing others scaring of BB gun either never see a higher-end bb gun or just wanted to get attention by staring the comment....
