running a coppermine as a katmi

I have a slocket converter that will allow me to select what kind of proc I want to run. A coppermine or a katmi, I have a 633 celeron (coppermine) that I want to run at 100, giveing me around 950. my mobo a gateway spiecal will not support a coppermine proc, so what would happen if I changed the setting on the slocket converter to katmi?

Best case the cpu would not post and force you to change the setting back to coppermine. Worst case you would fry the cpu. Personaly I would not try to do that.
