Hello,

I'm reaching out with a serious issue related to playing Rust. For some time now, I've been experiencing frequent crashes of the game without any visible error messages. This has been causing inconvenience and disrupting my enjoyment of the gameplay.

My system configuration:

Operating System: Windows 10
Processor: Intel Core i7-13700KF
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080
RAM: 32 GB

Important error information:
Faulting application name: RustClient.exe, version: 2021.3.24.4316, time stamp: 0x643f9544
Faulting module name: nvwgf2umx.dll, version: 31.0.15.3699, time stamp: 0x64cd7596

Faulting package-relative application ID

I have already tried the following steps to troubleshoot the issue, but with no success:

1-Ended the process through Task Manager.
2-Restarted the computer.
3-Updated the video card drivers and reinstalled GeForce Experience.
4-Launched the game as an administrator.
5-Played in windowed mode and lowered the game settings.
6-Adjusted the NVIDIA Control Panel settings.
7-Changed the virtual memory management values.
8-Verified the integrity of the game files through Steam.
9-Temporarily disabled antivirus software.
10-Reinstalled the game.
11-Tried playing on different Rust servers.

I've taken several steps to resolve the issue, but it still persists:

Updated graphics card drivers to the latest version.
Reinstalled the Rust game.
Verified the integrity of game files through Steam.

If you have any insights on how to address this problem, please share them. I'm willing to provide additional information and take further actions to resolve this issue.

Thank you for your attention and potential assistance.

Last I played before I got the crashes was on 8/15/2023, then on 8/24/23 I got back on to my game crashing at different intervals, giving me at first d3d11.dll errors, and my output log would say d3d11 couldn't render a 2d texture or something, but now it just says crash!! and my event viewer shows me that above.

I messaged Facepunch but they just told me to do what I had already done. If you find a fix yourself, please let me know

I just found my fix today as well lol. For me I had to update my GPU's vbios and it has seemed to fix my problem, if I get another crash I will try your method next. Thanks for the update
