RX 480 Battlefield 1 fps drop

i have been having this problem since i got the game, and it only happens in this game in particular. My fps drop from 60 to 20 every so often. and it gets really annoying. sometimes from 60 to 12 etc. I run the game in ultra settings, but i have tried lowering it and it still drops. i have dx12 off.
and i also know that it isn't overheating because i keep track of both GPU and CPU. They both stay at around 50 degrees celcius.

I would try increasing the power limit on the card it's probably limiting the clockspeed and indirectly causing a frame reduction. I would also look at your processor to ensure no bottleneck is occurring.

make and model of your mobo?

power supply?



it is well known for dropping speeds/stuttering because only a few specific mobos can handle it


make sure you are monitoring VRM temps and core speed

I really dont know about the model or make of my psu but my mobo is a gigabyte ga 990fxa ud3

I increased it to max in msi afterburner, and the frames still drop. i doubt its bottleneck, but is there a way to know ? does the cpu run at 100% ?
because my cpu goes up to 60% when on battlefield.
