RX 480 vs GTX 1060 - What are the pros and cons of them?

the 1060 is a lot faster in current games though

i would take a hard look at the 480 see if amd has fixed that issue. not with a bios or driver fix. if the gpu pulls more power then the mb pci slot can give it going to burn out your mb.

GTX 1060 runs cooler, uses a lot less power, and performs better in almost all DX11 games.

RX480 has more VRAM, outperforms the GTX1060 in many DX12 games (Hitman, AotS, Doom), and can be run in Crossfire (the GTX1060 cannot run in SLI), also it has 256bit memory as opposed to 192bit in the GTX1060 (which indicates better theoretical performance if only drivers can utilize it).

I would agree with Max, price would be my foremost consideration when deciding. These cards are very similar.
