[SOLVED] RX 570 or GTX 970?

Specs currently:

AMD Ryzen 1600
MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon ATX Motherboard
Sapphire RX 560 2Gb Vram
16GB RAM (2400 ghz)
500W Thermaltake PSU

So basically a friend of mine is willing to sell me a EVGA GTX 970 (used) for $150.

Although I could potentially buy a new RX 570 for an extra 20 bucks.

I just looked at a bunch of "vs" videos and they pretty much exchange wins depending on the game. The 8GB RX 570 seems to be stronger than the 4GB GTX 970 in games that demand more VRAM. But all in all, it would be a tossup. Personally, I would prefer the RX 570 8GB. And I have both, btw.

If you are willing to buy used, get a 570 from ebay for ~$100

I’d look at a used 580GB failing that the 570 would be the better option

Get the RX570. My friend has it with the same processor and an X370 MoBo, and it all works very well.
