rx 570 versus 1050 Ti

Hey everyone! I'm looking into ordering parts for a new build for Christmas time, and as that's approaching I'm looking into graphics cards. As someone who knew nothing about PC gaming, I researched and researched this topic since July, and now I'm putting the finishing touches on a parts list. Since the very beginning of this project, I've chosen the 1050 Ti, but since the new Radeon card just came out, I've been looking into AMD cards instead of Nvidia. I mosied over to Userbenchmark.com and found that the 570 was 55% better than the 1050 Ti, for only $5 more.

This got me thinking. Why aren't people buying this card if it's so good? Is there something I'm missing?

I'll be using this new PC for the following things:

Light gaming: - overwatch, No Man's Sky, Rust, and some Virtual Reality down the line (perhaps in April when I get a headset)
Video Editing: - I run a very small youtube, So I use some Adobe products to help with my videos

I heard that Nvidia is better when it comes to the VR market. Is this true?

I'm here to get as much help as I can.

Thanks so much!

psu is junk
8 gb ram kind of too little for video editing if file is large.

This is a better build for your purpose. VR needs 1060/580 anyway.
